• Brothers Paul and Karl Keller founded Fight-Bite in 2009 out of their existing orthodontic lab, Class 1 Ortho in Clawson, MI. Along with the newest edition to the team, Josh Bitterman, Fight-Bite's mission is to produce and distribute the highest quality custom fit and designed mouthguards directly to participants in all contact sports.

Brothers Karl & Paul Keller, Co-Founders & Managing Partners

• Paul and Karl share a wealth of experience within the orthodontic industry having grown up the sons of a prominent local orthodontist, Dr. Peter Keller, having worked in his lab in Romeo, MI throughout their youth. There, they gained an interest in the field and with Paul continuing to work at the office, he gained core knowledge of dental anatomy and structure. Soon he found a niche producing corrective retainers and functional appliances for orthodontists in the metro-Detroit area and opened Class 1 Orthodontic Laboratory LLC in Clawson, MI. As business expanded and the workload increased, the need for a partner arose and Karl soon graduated and began working full time in December of 2008. Paul ran the business as a sole proprietorship for two years prior to Karl's arrival following the completion of a Bachelors degree from Central Michigan University.
• Shortly after starting at the lab, Karl began training and competing in the sport mixed martial arts. During his training, Karl soon noticed the vast benefits of having a custom mouthguard while competing and training, which sparked the idea to produce one in the lab. After several months of successful use and further research and development using the very best manufacturing equipment and materials in the business, the idea for Fight-Bite and its mission began to come to life.

Josh Bitterman, Managing Partner

• Josh Bitterman joined Fight-Bite in July of 2010 bringing to the team a wealth of sales, marketing and martial arts experience. Josh has trained in numerous martial arts systems under Chris Malgeri at Martial Arts Unlimited in Clawson, MI for over 10 years and holds an undefeated amateur MMA record of 6 wins and 0 losses. Following his graduation from the University of Michigan, Josh began his career at Palace Sports & Entertainment where he remained for over six years working in sales management, sponsorship sales and sponsorship fulfullment/activation for all of PS&E's properties including the Detroit Pistons of the NBA, Detroit Shock of the WNBA, The Palace of Auburn Hills, DTE Energy Music Theatre and Meadow Brook Music Festival. Following his departure from PS&E in April of 2009, Josh was recruited to join IMG Communications, helping to oversee sponsorship sales for their University of Michigan property within the IMG College division where he remains employed to this day.
